Town Council Priorities:
- Preserve public services
- Fully staff town services—to get the job done
- Propose responsible budgets that improve Windsor’s quality of life
- Aggressively pursue revenues other than property tax increases
- Continued cooperation with Board of Education initiatives
- Provide needed funding to schools
- Reform Town Government
- Effective citizen input and participation
- Greater accountability and responsiveness to voters
- Provide greater direction and oversight of town government
Board of Education Priorities
- Elimination of the achievement gap
- Maintaining control on budget increases
- Continued improvement in communications of student results and decision making process
- Adoption of further research based initiatives to improve achievement of all students
- Raising the floor for student literacy and math through after school and summer programs
- Long Range Initiatives to keep class room sizes within guidelines while efficiently managing and operating our schools
